EMPOWERING WOMEN AND SUPPORTING A NEW GENERATION OF FEMALE ARTISANS
The well being of our artisans is at the core of our mission.
We take pride in providing training programs, comfortable and safe work conditions for our artisans. Our artisans go through a rigorous training program and those who develop a passion for the craft stay on to join our team and build their artistic skills, helping us bring to life a craft that has been enlisted in the World's Intangible heritage by UNESCO.
Who Made Your Scarf?
We created our atelier with the mission to preserve the art and craft of kelagayi and improve the economic well-being of local women. Our team value creativity, beauty, passion, discipline, love and hard work.
Saida is our first artisan and technical manager in our atelier.
She has helped us with the recruitment process a lot.
A creative soul at heart, making kelagayis gives her creative fulllfilment.
Gulnar took the risk and joined our company as one of the first artisans. She never stops dreaming and making a wish.
Although Gulnar is already an experienced artisans, she values the craft of handmade goods, because she truly understand how difficult her work is.
This is Gulnar's first job and she considers herself lucky to be part of this team.
Gunay is proud of the work that she does.
Continuing a craft that has an ancient history and supportive
colleagues give Gunay a sense of comfort and confidence in work and life.
