What is Kelagayi?

Our brand stands at the crossroads of heritage and contemporary design, offering pieces that are not only stylish but also embody the rich narrative of Azerbaijani tradition and sustainable luxury.

Kelagayi is both an ancient craft form and a traditional piece of silk worn as a scarf for centuries in Azerbaijan - a region famous for its passage along the Silk Road.

Kelagayi scarves are meticulously hand crafted by artisans who use custom-made metal and wooden stamps to transfer patterns onto the silk using natural wax. The process of making kelagayis has not changed in centuries.

We take pride in our contribution for the revival of the craft by transforming the traditional Azerbaijani kelagayi into a contemporary fashion accessory suited for all women.

As our signature product, each kelagayi is unique and handmade by artisans of Azerbaijan using only natural silk. Each scarf is made exclusively using our patterns and prints and is inspired by the rich cultural heritage of the region.

Honored by UNESCO in 2014 for its cultural significance, the kelagayi stands as the centerpiece of our collection, a harmonious blend of heritage and style.

Each kelagayi's color and design are steeped in deep symbolic meanings, reflecting the essence of life's events—from the joy of weddings to the solemnity of mourning. These scarves add a touch of elegance and celebration to daily life.

The art of kelagayi crafting is a treasured heritage, passed down within families from father to son, underscoring the dedication and skill this craft demands.
